Let's talk about Glass.

Recycling, composting, and other responsible resource management practices are good for the local economy, environment, and community. They're also good for business. So why aren't more North Texas businesses doing it?

Recycling, composting, and other responsible resource management practices are good for the local economy, environment, and community. They're also good for business. So why aren't more North Texas businesses doing it?

As of January 1, 2017, nearly 90% of Dallas residents recycled at home - a number that has risen steadily nearly every year during the past decade.

At the same time, less than 1% of the reported 1,168 bars & restaurants in Dallas were reported to recycle their glass bottles, a number that has declined steadily since 2010.

It's a striking disparity, and one that begs questions: How did we get so far apart? And what - if anything - can we do to encourage the actions we practice in our homes at the places where we love to eat & drink?

There are answers, but to get there we need to dig deep.
