RR's Drop-Off Center in Deep Ellum is getting 2 new (awesome) murals!

RR's Drop-Off Center at 1703 Chestnut St. (in Deep Ellum) is getting a very, very cool new addition! Local artist Harmony Witte, whose past projects include the Deep Ellum Dog Park, the TOMS Shoes events at Nordstroms, and the Guerilla Art& Music Benefit, will be painting a pair of original murals along RR's northern wall on Dawson St.

The first mural incorporates the issues of recycling, environmental sustainability and community, and features several members of the Deep Ellum Community.

The second is a vivid, grafiti-style rendering of the words "Recycle Revolution." It is bright, assertive, and very neighborhood-appropriate!

Harmony will be starting on the murals in mid-February and hopes to have them both completed by the end of the month. You can see more of her colorful, inspiring art on her website and facebook page. Thank you so much, Harmony, and we look forward to enjoying your work here at RR!!!
