E-Stewards are electronics recyclers, refurbishers, and processors in developed countries that adhere to the highest standards of environmental responsibility and worker protection. E-Steward companies (and their operations and facilities, etc.) pledge to (among other things):

• Not engage in disposing of hazardous materials in landfills or incinerators
• Not export potentially hazardous materials to developing countries.
• Not use prison labor
• Minimize worker exposure to hazards
