E-Waste, Lamps, and Batteries
Examples of typical e-waste: computers, monitors, televisions, telephones, and keyboards. RR recycles these items and more (see below) via both our Collection Program and Drop-Off Center. Electronic waste ("e-waste") has become the single fastest-growing segment of our waste stream. Growing at a rate 3 times that of other waste streams, some 2 billion pounds of e-waste still end up in landfills across the country each year.
Recycle Revolution accepts and collects e-waste, universal waste (lamps, batteries, and other mercury-containing devices), and ballasts. RR accepts e-waste from residents and businesses via both our Drop-Off Center on Chestnut St (near downtown Dallas) and our Collection Program. One-time pick-ups are also available for e-waste collection.
Please note that there is a processing fee for most electronic items, light bulbs, and batteries. For current pricing on the following items, please call 214.566.3025:

Where do these materials go?
RR delivers 100% of our e-waste to certified E-Steward facilities. Each of our partners has pledged to not dispose of materials in landfills or incinerators, use prison labor, or export to countries with poor environmental regulation. Additionally, equipment is not refurbished and is only resold as base commodities (i.e. plastics, metals, etc.). In our experience, working with e-stewards helps both Our Staff and Clientele rest easy knowing that their potentially harmful waste is being disposed of responsibly. Please note that the responsible recycling of e-waste is not free--to either RR or, consequently, our Clients and Drop-Off Center Patrons. That said, we wouldn't have it any other way!
